bLoG rEfLeCtiOn

One of the skills I have learned while creating my blog is having a background on the page. April showed me a website called Cutest Blog On The Blog.com and it has lots of cute backgrounds and blinkies to add to your blog. I think learning this was really worthwhile because I am so proud of my blog now and can change the background to whatever I want anytime. For example, when I was doing the Breast Cancer Fundraiser with Victoria, Gloria and April, I changed my Background to Pink Ribbons. :D

Since I am not really sure if the challenge to explain is about making and maintaining your blog, I am going to do it about my life and not the blog. A big challenge during my life in the past 5 months is ISTA. Fortunately, it has a very happy ending! First, I tried out for ISTA, with many other kids, all hoping we would get a spot in the 20 or so spots we have. Originally, I tried out, and didn't get in but was placed as a substitute if anyone dropped out or couldn't make it. I waited anxiously, week after week, secretly hoping someone would drop out but didn't make it public so I still appeared happy for everyone that got in. Then, when the Christmas holidays were drawing near, I got let into ISTA! I was overjoyed!!!!!!!!!!! It was a challenge that I got through and am looking forward to ISTA a lot. :D :D :D :D :D

Again I am not sure if this question is about my blog so I will do it about my life. I really want to learn how to save money, because any time I have money, as soon as it gets in my hands I go shopping and it all magically disappears! :D

How I contributed positively to the 6th grade community... Hmmmmm... Thats a hard one. Well, one example was when I was very Responsible in the play, when Ms. Fulcher had asked everyone to complete a sheet to help us with a costume changes and I filled it out and brought it to practice when almost no one else did. And it all ended really nicely, because that night everyone else had to do it and I didn't!!!! :D

The goals I set for the new year are:

• Paying more attention in class and not talking as much
  

• Continue our Breast Cancer Fund-raising

For paying more attention in class, I need to:

1. Ignore people if they try to speak to me while the teacher is talking.
2. Holding my big conversations till lunchtime.
3. Instead of playing around sit in my chair.

For continuing our Breast Cancer Fund-raising, I need to:

1. Talk to Victoria, Gloria and April and Mr.Callan about what other fun stuff we can do.
2. Keep in contact with the Breast Cancer Society
3. Use my time effectively.
